{"id":312,"date":"2011-11-12T10:41:51","date_gmt":"2011-11-12T16:41:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thewilhelmscook.com\/?p=312"},"modified":"2011-12-08T09:52:32","modified_gmt":"2011-12-08T15:52:32","slug":"mongolian-beef","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/thewilhelmscook.tempotech.net\/?p=312","title":{"rendered":"Mongolian Beef"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I thought I posted this, but I can&#8217;t find it on here anywhere.\u00a0 Matt loves this dish, and it is quite delicious, especially with rice.\u00a0 I suggested it for dinner tonight and the response was, &#8220;OHHH, YEAH!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Mongolian Beef<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/noshings.blogspot.com\/2010\/08\/how-about-some-mongolian-beef.html\">From Noshings<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Sauce:<br \/>\n1\/2 c. water<br \/>\n1\/3 c. low sodium soy sauce<br \/>\n1\/2 c. brown sugar<br \/>\n1\/2 &#8211; 1 tsp. red pepper flakes<br \/>\n1 lb. flank steak or cube steak, thinly sliced crosswise<br \/>\n1\/4 c. cornstarch<br \/>\n2 T canola oil<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp. grated ginger<br \/>\n2 cloves garlic, minced<br \/>\n3 large green onions, sliced<br \/>\n2 c. broccoli, chopped and cooked until crisp tender<br \/>\nRice, for serving<\/p>\n<p>Whisk together the first four ingredients in a small bowl.\u00a0 Set aside for sauce.\u00a0 Blot meat dry with a paper towel.\u00a0 Evenly coat meat with cornstarch.\u00a0 In a large skillet, saute the meat in oil over medium-high heat until cooked through.\u00a0 Remove from skillet and set aside.\u00a0 (This may need to be done in batches so that meat sits in a single layer in the pan.)<\/p>\n<p>In the same pan, add 1 tablespoon oil if needed, and add the garlic, green onions and ginger.\u00a0 Saute for 1 minute.\u00a0 Add the sauce to the pan and cook until the sauce begins to boil and sugar is dissolved.\u00a0 Add meat and broccoli and cook until sauce thickens, 3-5 minutes.\u00a0 Serve over rice.<\/p>\n<p>Serves 3.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I thought I posted this, but I can&#8217;t find it on here anywhere.\u00a0 Matt loves this dish, and it is quite delicious, especially with rice.\u00a0 I suggested it for dinner tonight and the response was, &#8220;OHHH, YEAH!&#8221; Mongolian Beef From Noshings Sauce: 1\/2 c. water 1\/3 c. low sodium soy sauce 1\/2 c. brown sugar [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[17],"tags":[20,21,22],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"http:\/\/thewilhelmscook.tempotech.net\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/312"}],"collection":[{"href":"http:\/\/thewilhelmscook.tempotech.net\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"http:\/\/thewilhelmscook.tempotech.net\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/thewilhelmscook.tempotech.net\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/thewilhelmscook.tempotech.net\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=312"}],"version-history":[{"count":4,"href":"http:\/\/thewilhelmscook.tempotech.net\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/312\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":316,"href":"http:\/\/thewilhelmscook.tempotech.net\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/312\/revisions\/316"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"http:\/\/thewilhelmscook.tempotech.net\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=312"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/thewilhelmscook.tempotech.net\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcategories&post=312"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/thewilhelmscook.tempotech.net\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Ftags&post=312"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
