{"id":148,"date":"2011-01-05T01:48:15","date_gmt":"2011-01-05T07:48:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thewilhelmscook.com\/?p=148"},"modified":"2011-09-18T20:02:19","modified_gmt":"2011-09-19T01:02:19","slug":"chocolate-peanut-butter-molten-cake","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/thewilhelmscook.tempotech.net\/?p=148","title":{"rendered":"Chocolate Peanut Butter Molten Cake"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Oh Chocolate Decadence!\u00a0 Is there a more perfect food marriage than chocolate and peanut butter?<\/p>\n<p>Mom made molten chocolate cake in September when I was home and since she showed me the recipe, I&#8217;ve probably made it half a dozen times&#8230;yes, in four short months!\u00a0 I&#8217;ve never tried to make it with peanut butter, but I was craving something chocolatey with peanut butter, so tonight I experimented!\u00a0 Here&#8217;s the recipe, adapted from The Pioneer Woman.<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>4 squares semi-sweet baking chocolate<\/li>\n<li>1 stick butter<\/li>\n<li>1 cup plus 1 Tablespoon powdered sugar<\/li>\n<li>2 whole eggs<\/li>\n<li>2 egg yolks<\/li>\n<li>6 Tablespoons flour<\/li>\n<li>3 Tablespoons peanut butter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Directions:<\/p>\n<p>Preheat oven to 425 degrees.<\/p>\n<p>Spray 4 custard cups liberally with cooking spray; place on cookie sheet.<\/p>\n<p>Microwave chocolate and butter in large bowl on high for about 1  minute, stir until butter and chocolate are melted and well mixed.<\/p>\n<p>Stir in sugar until well blended. Whisk in eggs and egg yolks. Stir in flour.<\/p>\n<p>Mix peanut butter and 1 tablespoon powdered sugar together. Melt slightly in the microwave, 20 seconds at 50%.<\/p>\n<p>Divide half of chocolate batter between custard cups.\u00a0 Dallop peanut butter mixture in each cup. Cover with remaining batter.<\/p>\n<p>Bake 12-13 minutes until sides are firm, top is cracked, and center is soft (still jiggly).
